Does Your Pool Need a Renovation?
We Upgrade You
Chances are, if your pool is more than ten years old, it’s time to get some upgrades done on your pool. Older swimming pools are less energy efficient and are made from materials that aren’t designed for longevity.
At Authentic Plaster and Tile, we have 35 years of experience in renovating pools. Our specialized team is here to figure out what your wants and needs are, what budget you have in mind, and then suggest how best to turn that old pool into a spectacular, relaxing outdoor oasis.
Add a Gorgeous New Surface
Old pools with plaster surface can be drab and begin to fall apart in 10 years or so. A relatively easy way to freshen up the look is having a new surface material applied. To really change up the look of your pool, try an upgrade surface material to include a colored quartz, glass beads, or colored aggregate. They hold up longer than marble based plaster and are visually more striking adding a new dimension to your pool and backyard landscape.
Get Energy Efficient Equipment
If your pool is more than ten years old, chances are it’s using old pumps, filters, and other electrical equipment that waste energy. Installing newer, energy-efficient equipment during your swimming pool remodel can end up saving you money season after season, and is more reliable in the long run.
Add on Features
Have you ever wanted a hot tub or spa in your outside area? How about a fun water slide for the kids? How about a relaxing waterfall? How about adding tan ledges? When you get a remodel on your pool, it’s a great time to add features that not only make your swimming area more enjoyable, but you can make it safer for your kids and your pets too.
What to Expect
Our team of pool renovation experts have worked on many projects over the past 35 years with budgets from a few hundred dollars up to a few thousand dollars — it all depends on what you want and what you can afford. A basic swimming pool remodel, like changing your pool’s tile, can be done relatively inexpensively, while a complete renovation on your swimming pool that might include new decking, lights, equipment, and add-ons can be more expensive. Pre-determine a budget for the cost of the remodel, that you can afford, then you can decide if you would like to have any add-ons added to your swimming pool.
Remodeling is a big project, and we understand how much you depend on the use of your backyard and swimming pool in the hot Texas heat so we work quickly, yet efficiently, to get your pool remodel completed. While there will be times your backyard will be unavailable to you, our renovators will keep you updated on the progress so you have a good idea of when you can enjoy your pool again.
Like most construction jobs, the time it takes to complete depends on the work. Upgrading your tile or pool’s finish during a remodel is usually completed in under a week, while a full swimming pool renovation in DFW or Houston can take a month or so. Our experts at Authentic Plaster and Tile will give you an estimate of how much time your job will take so you can plan accordingly.
